Achievement Award Nominations now being accepted
SAIGE is now accepting nominations for the annual SAIGE Achievement Awards. The purpose of these awards is to recognize agencies and individuals (civilian or military), who through their personal commitment and professional initiative have made demonstrable contributions in recruiting, retaining, and providing career advancement opportunities to American Indian and Alaska Native employees in the Federal workforce. Additionally they have assisted with the advancement of American Indian and Alaska Native professionals, role models and future leaders. Deadline is April 4, 2018 for awarding at National Training Program in June. 2018 Youth Track Applications now being accepted
SAIGE is offering a limited number of scholarships for Native college students to attend the 2018 Training Program,”Sovereignty, Trust and Resilience,” June 11-14, 2018 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The scholarships will include conference registration fee, airfare and hotel accommodations. The Youth Program is open to Native Students between the ages of 18 and 25 who demonstrate they are currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited high school, college or university. Students must be interested in gaining a professional degree and in the possibility of pursuing a career with the federal government. This Awards program is open to all military personnel, DoD civilian and government employees who are veterans. Due date for submissions is 6 April 2018.
